Joyeux anniversaire

Thursday July 23: Today after class and show rehearsal, the group headed to Nice for a bit of free time for shopping and the beach. Some students also chose to take a guided tour of the Confiserie (the candy shop I mentioned in an earlier post), and others went to the Musée de Beaux Arts which in addition to the works of art offers an incredible architecture. Later the students and host families gathered at the beach for a surprise birthday party for Delphine. Pan Bagnat, a local specialty, was one of the big hits of this pot luck supper!
